Children with ADHD show altered eye movement patterns during reading

An Assessment of Stereovision Acquired in AdulthoodData indicate that non-medicated children with pure ADHD show altered eye movement patterns (abnormal fixations, regressions, saccades in return sweeps) during oral reading.

As a result, children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder demonstrated poorer reading efficiency and spent more time completing reading. The current findings have potential impacts on the association between attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and reading performance, which could have a direct influence on children's educational outcomes.
